-
Nick, Workshop Manager
Nick runs the workshop and oversees large restoration projects from start to finish. He took over in 2023 and is committed to delivering top service to all HHE clients. Nick’s passion for classic cars started at 17 when he learned to drive in a 1979 Mini. Before joining Haynes, he ran a track car preparation workshop. Outside of work, he’s restoring his own ‘63 Mini. His dream car is a black Ferrari Testarossa, and his favourite project was a Volvo 121.

Lucy, Workshop Administrator
Lucy is your main point of contact and keeps us all organised. She also manages our social media and back-of-house admin. Always passionate about motorsport and classic vehicles, Lucy started her Haynes career in the museum before temporarily helping HHE. She quickly mastered her role and joined permanently, becoming a key team member. Her dream car is a Mk1 VW Golf GTi, and her favourite project in the workshop was the Aston Martin Ulster.

Alongside MOTs and servicing, Aaron is restoring a 60s Ford Galaxie. His attention to detail and passion for classic cars make him a great fit for Haynes Heritage Engineering. He’s been with us for around three years, and when he’s not at work, he restores vintage motorcycles. His dream car is a Ferrari F40 LM, and his favourite project was a Ferrari 348.

Kevin, Mechanical Technician

Kevin started with Mini Miglias and MiniStox before moving into dealership management for over 15 years. He joined Haynes Heritage Engineering in 2017 to focus on restorations. His dream car is a 1969 Mustang, and his favourite project was a Maserati Sebring.

Matt, Mechanical Technician
Matt is our electrical expert and third mechanical technician alongside Kevin and Aaron. He specialises in wiring looms and diagnosing electrical gremlins in classic cars. With his patience, methodical approach, and strong education, Matt is vital to the team. After completing his Motorsport Engineering degree and then completing his apprenticeship with us, Matt has become a skilled classic vehicle technician. His dream car is a Datsun 240z, which he’s currently restoring.

Alex is our in-house fabricator, specialising in rust repairs and complex metalwork. From MOT fixes to full restorations, he expertly crafts bespoke panels using the English wheel. He’s been with us for around three years, with his standout project being the rebuild of an Alfa Romeo Montreal shell. Alex's dream car is a Lamborghini Countach.

Dave is our in-house painter, responsible for the entire paint department. He typically starts at the bare metal stage and delivers a concours-quality shell for fitting. Dave has been painting vehicles since he was 17 and joined us in 2023 as our chief painter. He spends 200-300 hours on each restoration to ensure a lasting, high-quality finish. Away from the booth, Dave enjoys cycling on weekends. His dream car is a Ford Escort Mexico, and his favourite project he's worked on is a 1972 Porsche 911.
